Since 2003, we at Mother Teresa Shelter, Inc. have received many thank you cards, letters, notes, and words of encouragement. It is because of the gratitude and respect for our clients and friends that we will never edit any of the beautiful thank you notes and testimonials before posting on our website. We believe they reflect the true spirit and heart of those we serve and those who serve us.

"To Whom It May Concern, MTS (Mother Teresa Shelter) is a great place. It is really clean. The food is good and the people (employees) are great. They genuinelly care about people and do their very best to help. And they help in many different ways. Almost more than one could count. I wish I could have found them sooner!" - Kemble G.
"Dear Mother Teresa, The meal that was served at your shelter today was beyond any expectation I could have had - including the most unreasonable one. It was a meal I hardly felt worthy of. Thank you for all that you and your workers do. God bless you, love" - Justin W.
"Mother Teresa's is a wonderful place for the homeless to gather and eat, rest, wash body and clothes and get Spiritual advise. We are treated as humans instead of castouts. We at one time were useful members of society and even looked up to by others. Mother Teresa's brings us back to the reality that is lost from us sometimes. Thank you for all you do for us and it is a pleasure to be able to return the love that is shown to us and help them." - Cowboy (Hubbard L.)
"Mother Teresa has been a God sent for myself and my husband. They have always been willing to help us in any way possible. I found myself homeless 2 years ago and it was finding this place my saving grace. Just the ability to shower and do laundry made me feel good about myself. This place is also where I found the love of my life, he is also homeless but together we have been able to bear our situation better and workling on getting out of our situation. I thank God everyday for the Sisters and staff here at Mother Teresa." - Michael & Rita B.
"Personally, I recently went through a diagnosis and treatment of cancer. The staff here was so helpful to me. Gary helped us out by allowing me to come in a seat inside, letting me shower first to make sure I was able to use the handicap shower. Margaret offered emotional support not only for myself but my husband. The Sisters always made sure I was doing okay. This meant a lot me and thankful for support." - Rita B.
"I was born to a cruel and hateful world. My childhood was good until my parents decided to seperate which put me in a bad place between parents which lead to drug abuse and jail. By the time I was 18 I had done everyting under the sun. Now I'm 35 and still struggling with life on life's terms but thank God and Mother Teresa's for help and prayer so that I can get through my struggles. Thank you Jesus." - Dan V.
"This is not just a place to bathe, wash clothes, but a place to rest sleep and but a place to for spiritual enlightenment from the time in walk in the door you feel God in this place. All the employees work hard to make it so. May God bless every one." - Andres V.
"To Whom: Mother Teresa has been very supportive of my life. Sap. Ms. Margaret. Food and Soc. Serv. They are a blessing. Thank you" - John L.
"Dear Staff of Mother Teresa Shelter, A little over a year ago, my brother Keith stayed at your shelter. He passed away on April 1st of last year in the ICU of CHRISTUS Spohn Hospiital. After Keith died, Sister Rose brought me Keith's backpack from a locker at your shelter. She was very kind to me. She told me that your shelter was always in need of socks. I am sending these new socks in memory of Keith and in gratitude to you for having been there for him when he needed help. Thank you for all you do." - Pamela P.
"Board of Directors and Staff, The plant you sent in honor of Mark K. was beautiful! My parents were able to keep it and remember Mark and your thoughtfulness. You all were a tremendous blessing to Mark. What you do each day is such a gift to your community. I am so thankful you met Mark. I will be by this summer to meet all of you. Our family will bring a gift to honor Mark, a fantastic way to help you all financially. We know you all loved him. He had a servant's heart for sure. We miss him and are heartbroken, but...we will remember him fondly. Much love and thak again." - Rebekah M.
